I spent 2 ½ days attending a workshop by Leading Visions Incorporated called “Leading Through Changing Times”, an Executive Leadership Workshop. The name of the workshop does not do it justice! What the workshop really does is give you 2 ½ days of reaching your potential to be the type of person you want to be. I found it life changing. Eight people opened up to each other and worked together to become more than we could be on our own. Quite simply, this workshop has made me a better person and made me want to do good. That is the key of leadership. To have empathy and to want to make the world a better place. I can already feel a difference interacting with my employees and partners at work. This workshop has taught me to seek the best in everyone.
I had the good fortune of meeting and working with Kristie Bavaro of Leading Visions at what turned out to be a pivotal point in my career. I started working with Kristie while employed as a Consulting Services Manager for a rather large software company. Despite growing the practice by more than 350% in just two years, I found myself looking for that elusive “next thing” that will bring new challenges, opportunities, and excitement. By working closely with Kristie, I was able to surface that inner desire and really explore where I wanted to go next. Fast forward fifteen or so years, and I’m on my second technology startup.
As I look back, I never would have seen myself as a “serial entrepreneur,” but that’s exactly what I’ve become. And it was Kristie’s counsel and guidance that helped me recognize the pivot that I truly wanted to take and to give me the courage to take a chance on something entirely new. Thank you, Kristie!
I worked with Kristie of Leading Visions for a little over a year. Kristie came into my life for a reason and helped both my mom and I through a very tough transition time. My father and owner of our company had passed away in January of 2014 and we were left to grieve, become business partners and run a company that had been around for 32 years overnight. We tried as best as possible to navigate this transition on our own needed a bit of help. We were more than fortunate to be introduced to Kristie through an exterior consulting group. I believe she was key in salvaging not only our mother-daugther relationship, but helping us understand how to successfully run the company and be co-owners as well.
